Tennis

Introduction

Okay, out of all the sports out there right now, Tennis has go to make the least amount of sense man. Sports are just kind of dumb in general but Tennis takes it to a new extreme. Like seriously, who actually invented the rules to this sport and was like, "Yeah, this is fine.". Not to mention Tennis players yell so loud when they swing and the crowd is always dead silent as if they're watching some kind of theater musical. Before you think this is just blind dislike towards a sport I don't even play, let's take a look at the facts.

Rules

So first off let's talk about how the concept of the sport is ridiculous. You're supposed to hit the a ball back and forth using rackets in the hopes that your opponent doesn't hit it back. You can't hit the net or hit it out of bounds. It doesn't sound too bad until you realize that there's already a sport with the same concept, Badminton. Badminton has been around for 2000 years man and Tennis has been around since the 12th century, so atleast 815 years right? That means that Badminton is at least 1185 years older than Tennis. Now I understand that the two sports aren't exactly the same, but you may be wondering why am I picking on Tennis if Badminton has the same concept? Well let's find out with our next topic.

Score

So it's pretty common in sports to have a score or a certain amount of points right? In Basketball you get a different amount of points where you shoot the basket from and in golf you get points equal to the amount of strokes you take. . Tennis however has the genius idea to start 1 point with 15. Not only that but the person who doesn't have points doesn't have zero points, they have love, hence the term, 15-Love. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? Atleast Badminton has a point system that makes sense. Not only that but the score keeping in Tennis doesn't have a pattern. It goes from 15 to 30 to 40 then you win. Where is the pattern or consistency??
